Dunton River Camp

Set along the West Fork of the Dolores River, Dunton River Camp reimagines a late-1800s cattle ranch as an intimate safari-style retreat immersed in meadow, forest and open sky. Open seasonally from June through mid-October, the adults-only camp features eight luxury tents thoughtfully positioned above the river, combining the spirit of African expedition camps with the quiet beauty of the Colorado wilderness. Centered around the original Roscio farmhouse, now serving as the dining space, the experience unfolds through riverside stillness, horseback rides, nearby trails and restorative moments by the sauna — all shaped by a profound sense of privacy and connection to the land.
